Over four years ago my wife and I met our youngest daughter for the very 1st time in China. She braved a trip halfway across the world to a land where everything was foreign and became a part of a forever family with a loving mom, dad and siblings she can call her own. In a recent morning devotion, we were reminded that we too are adopted into God's family when we "declare with our mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead." (Romans 10:9-10) To be adopted into God's family means “If children, then heirs – heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.” (Romans 8:7)
“Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.” (Eph. 1:5)
“It isn’t always necessary to say words when you pray. Spend a minute just thinking about God. Think how good He is, how kindly, and that He is right by your side guiding you and watching over you.” (Positive Thinking Everyday by Norman Vincent Peale)
This song reminds us God is our Rescuer, Redeemer, Friend and Father!
“You rescued me
You are mine, I am yours
You rescued me
And I am yours forever
You saved me, remade me
Where would I be”
Have a great evening!
