Have you ever met someone that seems so full of life it’s as if they drank a glass full of sunshine for breakfast? They leave a room a little brighter and make us feel a new excitement for life. Can one word like enthusiasm really make that big of a difference in our everyday lives? When we take a closer look at where that word was derived from, it shines the spotlight on the one thing we need in our lives. Enthusiasm comes from the two Greek words EN and THEOS. Translate that into English and you get IN GOD or FULL OF GOD. Growing closer to God is a surefire way to not only obtain but also grow in your enthusiasm for life. Reading, meditating and memorizing His perfect Word keeps our spirit hot and increases our comeback capacity.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
“There is a giant in every person, and nothing can get this giant down unless that giant is kept down by himself.” (Norman Vincent Peale: Positive Thinking Every Day)
This song reminds us of the importance of getting back up when we get knocked down.
“There is no mountain you can't face There is no giant you can't take All of your tears were not a waste You're one step away Just when they think they've got you game set match Oh here comes the comeback”
Have a great day!
