This morning we were reminded to stop pretending. It says in Isaiah 53:6 “All we like sheep have gone astray.” The fact is we all fall short. “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” It is beyond liberating to submit to God and admit to Him we have fallen short and desperately need His Son, Jesus. Just look at what it says in Psalm 23:3 – “He restores my soul; He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake.” A restored soul and a righteousness path to walk for His glory and honor await those willing to invite His Son into their hearts. “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it?”
“God uses people who fail because there aren’t any other kind.” (Charles Spurgeon)
“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of my hand.” (John 10:27-28)
“The moments I’m looking at the right thing are the moments I feel the Holy Spirit transforming me.” (Scarlet Hiltibidal – Afraid Of All The Things)
What a great song to lead us into the weekend. It is a strong reminder there are “no more shackles on my feet, the devil’s got no hold on me.”
“I find victory when I let go I hit my knees & mercy floods my soul And though the enemy is near I'm not giving into fear Cause You're the voice of truth that leads me home”
Have a great weekend!
